Each participant will receive a limited edition OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2011 goodie bag and a cycle pack which contains your limited edition cycling jersey for The Challenge (52km) or event T-shirt for The Community Ride (21km), the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km) and The Tricycle Ride (100m), cycle number, and timing chip (where applicable).
In addition to a fun-filled day out for the whole family, participants in The Community Ride (21km), the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km) and The Tricycle Ride (100m) will receive an exclusive OCBC Cycle Malaysia limited edition T-shirt and a goodie bag (check the Participant Benefits on the website regularly for content details). Registrants will also get to explore and enjoy the carnival and performances at Dataran Merdeka. Registrants will receive a confirmation email upon their successful registration. Kindly contact the Event Organiser if you have registered for the race and have not received any acknowledgement within 24 hours.
Registrations will close at midnight on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, or sooner should maximum capacity be reached. No registrations will be accepted after this date.

The cycle pack will be available for collection prior to event day on Friday, Oct. 14, and Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Dataran Merdeka. All participants MUST present their confirmation slip upon collection of their cycle pack. An email detailing cycle pack collection will be sent to you.
Goodie bags will be provided when you collect your cycle pack on Friday, 14 October and Saturday, 15 October from 10:00am to 9:00pm at the Dataran Merdeka (The flagpole).
For participants under 18, the registration form will include an additional clause that a parent or legal guardian will have to fill in and give their consent.
A timing chip is a device used to record your ride time. The category with timing chips is The Challenge (52km). It should be worn while you participate in the event. By using a timing chip for the event, you will have an official record of your ride time. This will be posted on the post-event website results.

Cyclists will be riding on fully closed roads. However, riders are advised to cycle with caution at all times in the unlikely event that live traffic enters the course.
No, the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km) and The Tricycle Ride (100m) will be flagged off separately and they will be riding on a different course from the adults. However, parents are allowed to accompany their children in these rides.
Yes, if your child is riding in the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km). If your child is riding in The Tricycle Ride (100m); he/she can be accompanied by one adult for free.
Yes, children will be permitted to ride in a child seat with their parent or guardian in The Community Ride (21km) and the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km) categories ONLY, as long as the child is able to sit comfortably in a child seat with a width of 25cm or one that complies with the weight specifications of his/her own child seat. The Event Organiser, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors, appointed officials or staff will not be liable or responsible for any mishaps, injury or loss of life that may occur in the course of, or as result of any child riding in a child seat during the event.
Yes. Motorised vehicles, motorbikes, unicycles, tandem bicycles, specialist time trial bikes, bikes with disk wheels and bikes with aero bars are not allowed in the event. Please refer to the "Rules & Regulations" for futher information.
Conventional road bikes and mountain/trail bikes are allowed for The Challenge (52km), The Community Ride (21km) and the Mighty Savers™ Kids Ride (4km). Children’s bikes with training wheels are only allowed in The Tricycle Ride (100m).
Yes, there will be secure overnight bike storage facilities on site from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, until Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. latest. If you utilize the bike storage service, please ensure that you collect your bike at least one hour before the commencement of your ride.

In the event of inclement weather, the Event Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the rides. Should bad weather persist, the Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel the rides without any refund.
OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2011 is covered by public liability insurance but this does not include personal accident insurance. Participants partake in this event at their own risk and the Organisers shall not be liable for any bodily injuries, loss and/or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising.
The Event Owner and Organiser will not be liable for the actions of participants or others, not employed by or acting on their behalf.
It is recommended that you have personal accident insurance or health insurance.
Held at the Dataran Merdeka, the Cycle Malaysia's carnival is a three-day affair, where vendors will have booths displaying the latest cycling accessories, cycling gear, sportswear and bikes, as well as nutrition/fitness advice and lifestyle related products and services. Food and drinks will also be available.

Many experienced cyclists will choose to cycle to the event. A bike park is also available for participant who would like to leave their bikes at the Dataran Merdeka after collecting their cycle packs on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.

Bike mechanic services will be available on site on Event Day. Please check the "Event And Route Maps" closer to the event to find out more.
There will be neutral service along the route to lend assistance. Approach any of the route marshals to find out the location of neutral service along the route. Cost of changing the inner tubes of the bike will be borne by the participant.
There will be first-aid personnel to offer assistance both en-route and at the start and finish point.
Drink stations will be made available along the course.
Food sales will not be made available along the route and cyclists leaving the route to make food purchases are doing so at their own risk. Food and beverage will however be available for purchase at the Dataran Merdeka.
