1. When will OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2014 be held?
OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2014 will be held on Saturday and Sunday 18 & 19 January 2014.

5. Will there be traffic along the route?
Cyclists will be riding on fully closed roads. However, riders are advised to cycle with caution at all times in the unlikely event that live traffic enters the course.
6. Will children be cycling among the adults?
No, The Kids’ Ride (5km) and the Tricycle Ride (100m) will be flagged off separately and they will be riding on a different course from the adults. However, parents (who are also paid registrants) are allowed to accompany their children in The Kids’ Ride- Accompanying Adult with Child on a second bike.
7. Can I accompany my children in the Kids’ Ride (5km) and the Tricycle Ride (100m)?
An accompanying parent will be allowed to walk in a clear lane alongside their children on the track in the Tricycle Ride (100m). Parents (who are also paid registrants) are allowed to accompany their children in the Kids’ rides.
8. Can I have a baby seat on my bicycle?
No, child seats are not permitted on bicycles due to safety reasons.
9. What types of bicycle are allowed?

10. Is there a restriction to the type of bicycle I can use for each category?
Yes. Motorised vehicles, motorbikes, unicycles, specialist time trial bikes, scooters, fixie bikes, bikes with disk wheels, aero bars, extension bars and fixed wheels with no brakes are strictly not allowed in the event. Please refer to the “Rules & Regulations” for further information.
11. Can I store my bike overnight on site at the event?
Yes, there will be secure overnight bike storage facilities on site from 10am, Saturday, 18 January, 2014 until Sunday, 19 January, 2014 at 1pm latest. If you utilise the bike storage service, please ensure that you collect your bike at least one hour before the commencement of your ride.
12. I am a new cyclist. Can you advise me on training?
There will be training & safety clinics conducted prior to the event. For more information, please check the website regularly for details on the clinics.
13. Will the event still go on in bad weather?
In the event of inclement weather, the Event Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the rides. Should bad weather persist, the Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel the rides without any refund.
14. What is the correct way to wear the bib?
Your event bib number will be included in the Cycle Pack. The event bib MUST be worn at the back of your T-shirt or jersey throughout the event. Anyone without an event bib will not be allowed in the Start Zone. (Please write your name and emergency contact person and telephone number on the reverse of your bib). User instruction will be provided in the Cycle Pack.
15. Will there be insurance coverage for participants?
Riders participating in the Event are advised to practise safe cycling, and their participation is at their own risk. Accordingly the Organiser shall not be liable for any bodily injuries, loss and / or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise howsoever arising. The Organiser will not be liable for the actions of riders or other third parties, not employed by the Organiser or acting on its behalf. All riders are recommended to have their own personal accident or health insurance.
16. What can I expect from the OCBC Cycle Malaysia Sports Lifestyle Expo?
The Cycle Malaysia’s Sports Lifestyle Expo is a two-day event, where vendors will have booths displaying the latest cycling accessories, cycling gear, sportswear and bikes, as well as nutrition/fitness advice and lifestyle related products and services.
17. What can I expect from the OCBC Cycle Malaysia Carnival?
At the OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2014 carnival there will be various activities for children, including free popcorn and candy floss, a bouncy castle and numerous other exciting mini games.

19. When and where is the Cycle Pack Collecion?
The cycle pack will be available for collection on 17 & 18 January 2014 at Dataran Underground. All participants MUST present their confirmation slip & MyKad/IC/Passport upon collection of their cycle pack. An email detailing cycle pack collection will be sent to you.
20. What if I can’t make it on the Cycle Pack Collection Day to collect my Cycle pack ?
Participants who can’t collect on the Cycle Pack Collection Day may get someone to collect on their behalf who must present a completed authorization form at the collection booth. Authorisation form will be available on the event website.
21. What do I need to bring to collect my Cycle Pack?
Please bring along your confirmation email and MyKad/IC/Passport for verification.
22. What prizes are available?
Prizes will only be awarded to Criterium events winners. Please refer to “Results & Prizes” for further information.
